Amaya Drew is an illustrator and graphic designer from Philadelphia, PA. She received her bachelor’s in graphic design from Norfolk State University and later earned her master’s from Maryland Institute College of Art. Amaya primarily creates her work digitally; however, she also works with traditional media such as acrylic and gouache paint. Combining her technical training in graphic design with a fun, carefree, and personal approach to illustration, she produces work that is relatable to most viewers and captivating, using texture and mixing media to achieve variety.

Amaya has been recognized locally and awarded by the Norfolk Historical Society. She recently taught middle school art and curated lesson plans for the ‘24-’25 school year.
